We WordPress photo bloggers use many different photography related tags and categories. Which of them we should use? Which are most popular?
I made a simple statistical analysis, using the number of hits of selected “WordPress” and key word combinations in popular search engines Google, Bing and Yahoo. (Bing and Yahoo should give the same results, because of Microsoft’s and Yahoo!’s search alliance, but there seem to be some minor differences.)
The generic “photo” got the most hits, followed by “photos” while the longest “photography” was least popular.
For monochrome photos, the most popular tag by far is “black and white” – not a big surprise. I personally like to use the short “b&w”, but maybe I should now use the long version.
The conclusion? Maybe we should use all of these tags (like I have done in this post)?
