Bangkok views – In the bus

Fourth of nine views: Bus transportation

Bangkok commuters have centuries been using boats as one of the main public transportation mode.  The city is today filled with bus routes and the you can now use also metro and a very efficient sky train. Bangkok has more options for mass transit than  most of the capitals in the world.

We can still find the old wooden-floor busses with no aircon operating on several routes. I like those cheap rides (about 20 cents), which are sometimes quite thrilling due to the swashbuckling drivers.

I have to admire how the fee collectors are keeping their balance in that uncontrolled shaking, speeding and breaking of the bus.
