The green inspiration of artists at Prague, Czech Republic

Maybe the most fear and thus regulated alcoholic drink of modern times is absinthe. It has been claimed to be hallucinogenic or ‘mind opener’, and has been forbidden e.g. in USA where the ban to sell absinthe was lifted only 2007. Especially artists have been fond of this green liquid.

Sugar is melted with an absinthe spoon over burning alcohol.

In Prague, capital of Czech Republic, there is a small, nice absinthe bar called – easy – Absintherie (you can have there a sandwich as well, so it earns to be in this series of eating environment photographs). Do not buy only one drink, remember to compare different tastes, ages and brands (but not all during the same night). You can notice the differences.
