Sunset in London seen from a roof (pano #10)

Sunset seen from Vista at the Trafalgar can be splendid. But only if the weather permits – the bar is on the roof of Trafalgar Hilton hotel at Trafalgar Square, London, UK.

The main buildings and attractions from left to right are:  The National Gallery, the tower of  St Martin-in-the-Fields, a red crane, South African High Commission (nice location!), Nelson’s Column, London busses and  The Grand at Trafalgar Square. (No, I didn’t stay at the hotels close the square.)

Great photo and i really like the view you were able to get from the bar overlooking the square.

This looks like a painting – hard to believe it´s a photograph (but I believe you).

Very sweet and honey coloured, not the London I used to know. And clean air! And a clear blue sky between the clouds! What has happened to the great dome of reddish pollution that used to cover the entire city? This is a fantasy, right?

    • Not fantasy, Rigby. I did not add anything, I did not remove anything, just a modest color boost. We were lucky, it was lovely spring weather during our trip, rain cleansed the air at times during the sunny days.

  4. great detail and spot-on exposure – good job!

  5. Beautiful picture! Not the view of London I have in mind,, much better. Can everyone go to this bar on the roof of Trafalgar Hilton hotel or do you have to stay in this hotel?
