Food photography á la McDonald’s

Do we eat what we see? Not exactly. Have a look at this honest McDonald’s video.

No doubt other food chains and brands are doing the same. And this applies with all marketing and advertizing photography.

Things in ads are not what we believe we see. They are what we, as consumers, like to see – and are taught to see.

Is this cheating? Or only a sort of augmented reality …?
