Dancing beasts …

Blue wildebeest – what a name for a magnificent animal. (Wildebeest – called also gnu – is Dutch for “wild beast” or “wild cattle” in Afrikaans (beest = cattle).)

I photographed these fine big antilopes near  Nossob Camp water hole in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, South Africa. Most of the time they were drinking of walking slowly, but something triggered them to this midday dance under hot sun on arid desert.

Do you want to join the dance?
