If you are still in Helsinki, you have the opportunity to see her work in two different exhibitions. The first show is in Korjaamo (a tram workshop turned to a museum and a galleria), where Koutaniemi’s work about HIV carriers in Mexico is shown still a few days until 24th of April.
Koutaniemi’s award winning work of the six refugees in Finland with different human status is shown also in the Process Space.
You have to open the ‘official’ red binders to see her pictures and related material. That makes you to stop, read, look and think – very effective work of art.
The exhibition in the Photography Museum is open until 19th of May.
