During the last weeks we noticed something strange happening during the night: one of our rubber boots – only one, not a pair – was moved a few meters. And always my wife’s red boot, not my black one. Who, and why?
To check that we set up a game camera for video recording, 30 seconds at one time when there was some movement within a couple of meters range. As a bait we used a piece of salmon skin, a leftover from our dinner. Then we just waited some nights and let the camera do the work.
The captured footage were surprisingly nice. I edited the video below from three 30 sec recordings. Now we know, who likes our rubber boots: a young, beautiful red fox.
