Not all graffiti is good, not even in Berlin. But many are. You are the judge.

I photographed these late June on the southern side of the Landwehrkanal between Hallesche Tor Brücke (bridge) and Alexandrinenstrasse in Kreuzberg.

  1. Rigby says:

In my opinion, to be considered Art a work should demonstrate competent technique in the media chosen, including such things as variation in texture, tone and hue; composition that involves the viewer and holds his attention, as well as evidence of a distinct individual personality. These are all lacking in these examples. They may be expressions of deep feelings, but they have little value to anyone except the perpetrator. The desecration of the staircase of the pink apartment block is a very unfriendly act, as it spoils a real work of art, the design and appearance of the building created by the architect.
