Happy Times at Langis Jazz 2014 (R.I.P. Zarkus)

Langis Jazz is by-invitation-only small-scale, high-quality event in a tiny village near Hanko, the southernmost continental location of Finland.

There is a reason for this somewhat late post of these pictures I took in July 2014. One of the musicians, Zarkus Poussa, died suddenly after a gig in January at the age of 40. I like to remember him as a jolly fellow, and wish these pictures will convey that kind of feeling.

The other musicians in the pictures are Rami Eskelinen (dr), Ari Jokelainen (sax), Marzi Nyman (g), Harri Taittonen (kb) and Hannu Rantanen (b).

Happy jazz, happy music, happy feeling, happy audience.
